Montgomery, Alabama

Montgomery is the second largest city in Alabama, and also home to numerous universities and colleges. It is also the state capital of Alabama. It was named for Richard Montgomery, and was incorporated as a city in 1819. It is commonly referred to as the home of the Civil Rights Movement due to the Montgomery Bus Boycott and the Selma to Montgomery marches.

Even though Montgomery has a rich history, two armed services bases, and has numerous shopping areas and cultural areas, it is still one of the poorer areas of the South. The 2010 census found that over 18% of families live below the poverty level and over 34% of children under the age of 18 live in poverty. With this in mind, we realize that it is easy for Montgomery residents to fall on hard times through no fault of their own. At The Sellers Law Firm, we find it disheartening that one in three children live in poverty! Brandon was my first choice for an attorney because he is part of the community and you see him at the local store or PTA meetings and he always has time for you and answer your concerns.
